Faculty Description

Mrs.L.DhiviyaLakshmi completed her Masters in M.Tech Nanotechnology from Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore in the year 2011. She is pursuing her PhD with specialization in Biomaterials from Anna University, Chennai. She has a total of 11 years experience in teaching Biomedical Engineering. She was one of the mentor for the award winning project in Smart India Hackathon Hardware edition 2019, Telangana (South zone) for the problem statement "Continuous monitoring and control of Intravenous fluid" and for the project titled "Audio Visual Entrainment and Acupressure Therapy for Insomnia", which won the ICTACT Best Student Innovative Project Award 2015, and the ISTE Manakula Vinayagar Best Student Innovation Project 2015. Her areas of interest are pain management and rehabilitation. Her research area is investigation of antimicrobial properties of materials suitable for medical applications. She had published 8 international journals, 2 book chapters in peer reviewed journals and reputed publishers. She is a life member in Indian Society for Technical Education and member cum faculty coordinator for the Biomedical Engineering Society of India, SREC/Student Chapter since its inception from 2012.
