BioSIM Product Launch at Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Coimbatore

Biomedical engineering students of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, through the Collaborative Innovation Centre, recently developed a Bio SIM, a smart monitoring system that can continuously monitor the administration of IV fluids to patients in different wards.
What can it do?
This Bio SIM can continuously monitor the fluid level and send alerts in the form of a buzzer to the nurse station if the fluid goes down below a critical level. It has the ability to remotely monitor the fluid level through its dedicated mobile app.
This will prove to be very helpful for the nursing staff on duty to take care of the number of patients in the wards.
What is its current stage?
The innovation and incubation team from Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College said that this product is being commercialized for use by the various hospitals through one of its incubatees \'Tectzo Solutions\' in the campus.
The Bio SIM was launched at Sri Ramakrishna Hospital by the Managing Trustee of SNR Sons Charitable Trust, D. Lakshminarayanaswamy, in the presence of the Trust\'s Chief Executive Officer C V. Ramkumar, the Dean of the hospital, Dr.P.Sukumar, and a few others.
SREC Principal N.R. Alamelu, and its Industry Connect Advisor M. Ganesh, Advisor, congratulated the team and were present during the launch.
