Faculty Description

             Dr. M. S. Geetha Devasena is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. She received her Bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University in the year 1997.She received her Master's in Software Engineering from Anna University in the year 2006. She completed her Ph.D in Information and Communication Engineering (ICE)at Government College of Technology, Coimbatore under Anna University, Chennai in the year 2013. She has more than 22 years of experience in teaching and 12 years of experience in Research and Development. She is a recognized Research Supervisor of Anna University and has been guiding many Research Scholars. She has about 30 technical and research publications to her credit in the National, International Conferences and reputed International Journals including Springer and Elsevier Book Chapters. She is a Reviewer for refereed journals including IET Software Journal, GRD Journals, and Springer AISC Series.She has received research Grants from AICTE under Research Promotion Scheme (RPS) in 2013. She has received funds to the tune of 12 Lakhs from BRNS, INSA, ISRO, NABARD and NVIDIA for organizing workshops and seminars. Her research and teaching interest includes Software Engineering, Software testing, Software Defined Networks, Computational Intelligence, Predictive Analytics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Precision Medicine, Precision Agriculture, Medical Image Analytics, High Performance Computing, CUDA, GPU Programming and IoT based Smart Product Development.

          She is with Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College for past 22 years. She has contributed to the academic community as a Resource Person in her expertise, Board of Studies Expert Member, Academic Auditor for Outcome Based Education for various educational institutions and Doctoral Committee Member for full time Ph.D Research Scholars. She is acting as the Principal Investigator of GPU Education Center Status offered by NVIDIA, USA. She has pioneered India's first Women in High Performance Computing Chapter in Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College. She has actively worked in various consultancy projects for industries Pricol Ltd.,Pricol Technologies Ltd., and generated revenue to the tune of 14 Lakhs along with the faculty team. She is working closely with Forest College and Research Institute-TNAU, Mettupalayam to identify research problems relevant to Agroforestry from the year 2018 and acting as one of the primary contacts for institutional membership of Consortium of Industrial Agroforestry (CIAF). She is a Life Member of CSI, ISTE and IAENG. She is the recipient of Outstanding Woman in Engineering Award from Venus International Women Awards, VIWA 2018 for the initiatives and developments taken in the field of Computer Science and Engineering and Leading Educationist of India Award from DK International Research Foundation, DKIRF 2018.
