Faculty Description

Dr. R. Kingsy Grace is currently working as Associate Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore. She completed her B.E. (with Distinction) in Computer Science and Engineering from Noorul Islam College of Engineering (Manonmaniam Sundaranar University), Kanyakumari Dist., in the year 2003, She completed her M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Karunya Institute of Technology & Sciences, Coimbatore (Anna University, Chennai) in the year 2005, She completed her PhD in Anna University, Chennai in the year 2016, She has awarded NPTEL Domain Certification on “Data Science” in the year 2022, She has 17 years of teaching experience.

She has published 15 papers in reputed international journals such as Springer, Elsevier, IAJIT etc. Her journal paper in Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing appeared in SCIENCEDIRECT TOP 25 LIST OF MOST DOWNLOADED ARTICLES during January to March 2014. She has published 6 Springer book chapters and filed three patents. She has also published 35 National and International conference papers. She has organized Workshops, Seminars and Conferences. She is a life member of CSI, ISTE, WHPC, IACSIT and IEANG.

            Her research interest includes Grid and Cloud Computing, High Performance Computing using GPU, Big Data Analytics, Data Replication Strategies and Air Pollution Monitoring and Analysis, She is a peer reviewer in journals in Springer, Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, World Scientific, Inderscience, KIEE and Atlantis-Press, etc. She has received Outstanding Contributions in Reviewing and Certificate of Reviewing from Elsevier journals for her contribution in review.

Her expertise led to funding/consultancy projects from UGC, NVIDIA and Pricol. She has organized and attended various workshops, seminars and FDP’s in her area of expertise. She has been recognized as NPTEL Translator and translating NPTEL Lectures from English to Tamil. She has awarded NPTEL Discipline Star, NPTEL Motivated Learner for her enthusiastic learning online courses in NPTEL.

To accomplish her dedication and involvement in teaching, she was awarded with ‘Excellence Teaching in Higher Education award’ by DK International Research Foundation (2018), ‘Outstanding Women in Engineering (Computer Science and Engineering)’ by Venus Foundation (2019), ‘Senior Educator & Scholar’ by National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development (NFED) (2019) and ‘Top 50 Women Educators in Higher Education across India’ by The Academic Council of uLektz (2020). She has also delivered invited lectures in a few colleges of repute.
