The Department of M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering was established in 2021 with

the vision of creating a center of excellence for advanced education, cutting-edge research, and

industry-driven innovation. From its inception, the department has been committed to nurturing

highly skilled professionals and research scholars capable of addressing the evolving challenges

of the technology-driven world.

One of the unique features of the program is its strategically designed curriculum, which

incorporates two six-month internships with reputed multinational corporations such as L&T

Technology Services (LTTS), Air bus, HTIC and Centre for Development of Advanced

Computing (CDAC), as well as prestigious academic and research institutions like National

Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and the Indian Institute of

Science (IISc). This distinctive approach bridges the gap between academic learning and

practical exposure, ensuring students gain hands-on experience in real-world problem solving,

industrial best practices, and cutting-edge research methodologies.

To support its advanced curriculum, the department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories

featuring high-performance computing systems, modern software tools, networking and security

setups, AR/VR development kits, AI/ML frameworks, and data analytics platforms. These

facilities provide students with the ideal environment to experiment, innovate, and develop real-

world solutions in line with industry and research demands.

The department specializes in niche and emerging domains such as:

 Data Science – empowering students with expertise in data analytics, machine learning,

and big data technologies.

 Cyber Security – focusing on advanced security solutions, ethical hacking, and threat

intelligence to safeguard digital ecosystems.

 Artificial Intelligence (AI) – exploring machine intelligence, natural language

processing, and computer vision for next-generation applications.

 Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) – developing immersive,

interactive technologies for diverse sectors including education, healthcare, and industry.
