Dr. Y. DHARSHAN

Faculty Description

Dr.Y.Dharshan has completed his Ph.D Degree in Electrical Engineering under Anna University in the year 2024. He received his Master's degree in Control and Instrumentation Engineering from Regional centre of Anna University, Coimbatore in the year 2015 and Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from Tamil nadu College of Engineering, Coimbatore in the year 2011. He has currently working as Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) and 13 years of experience in the field of teaching.  His areas of interest are Control Systems, Sensor Fabrication and Computer Vision & Automation.

He has published 14 technical papers in International Journals in which 11 journals are indexed in Scopus and 3 journal is indexed in Web of Science. He has attended and presented his technical papers in 7 International Conferences and 2 National Conferences. He has published a book on the title Fuzzy Logic Controller for Real Time Networked Control System by Lambert Academic Publishing. He has published 7 Patents in the Indian Patent Journal where 2 Patents have been granted, he has also received 1 Copyright for the laboratory manual on Microprocessor and Microcontroller. He has attended workshops and seminars held in various universitites/colleges in and around Tamilnadu. He has been certified on Business English by Cambridge University.

He has been a part of various consultancy projects undertaken by the institution to provide solution to the industries on the area of Machine Vision System for with the total fund of Rs.49,29,000/- from various industries. He has been a part of the research project funded by AICTE, New Delhi under Research Promotion Scheme for the cost of Rs.8,23,421/-. Also, he has received fund of USD 2,210 from IEEE Headquarters, Newyork for R&D activities on environment and social welfare of the society. Also he holds the membership of many professional bodies such as IEEE, IAENG, ISOI and ISTE.
