Dr. P. Sangeetha is a seasoned academician
with over 20 years of experience in management education and administration.
She has served as the Head – Academics at D J Academy of Design and as
Associate Professor at D J Academy for Managerial Excellence, bringing a rich
blend of academic leadership and teaching excellence. She holds a Ph.D. in
Management from Bharathiar University and is UGC-NET qualified. With a strong
foundation in both engineering (BE in ECE) and business (MBA), her core areas
of expertise include Operations Management, Strategic Management, Total Quality
Management, and Human Resource Development. She has taken up key academic
responsibilities, including AICTE coordination for over a decade, and has been
actively involved in NAAC, NIRF, and AISHE activities. Dr. Sangeetha has also
conducted Management Development Programs (MDPs) and delivered guest lectures
for prominent companies like LMW, GKDITR and Expleo Software Solutions.
Her research portfolio includes journal publications, and presented more than 40 papers at national and international conferences, including events hosted by SRMIST, PSGIM, SDMIMD, and AIMA. An enthusiastic lifelong learner, she has attended over 45 Faculty Development Programs, including workshops at IIM Bangalore and training sessions in SPSS, AMOS, and R. Dr. P. Sangeetha has actively engaged in Faculty In-Service Programs to enhance her practical industry exposure and teaching relevance. She has completed three intensive 15-day training programs in both on-site and online formats at Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd. (Textile Machinery Division) and Chakradhara Aerospace and Cargo Pvt. Ltd. (Aerospace Division). These programs provided her with hands-on exposure to advanced industrial practices, enabling her to integrate real-time industry insights into her academic teaching and curriculum development. Dr. Sangeetha’s contributions extend beyond the classroom through her leadership in organizing academic events, value-added courses, and industry collaboration, continually aiming to bridge the gap between academia and real-world business practices.
