Faculty Description

Dr. P. Karuppuswamy is currently working as Professor & Head in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College. He completed his Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering (2009) at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore under Anna University, Chennai. He completed his M.E Production Engineering (2001) at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore. He completed his B.E. Mechanical Engineering (1994) at Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. He has completed M.A Yoga for Human Excellence from Bharathiar University (2018). He is also a Lead Auditor for Quality Management System ISO 9001-2015.

He has 23 years of teaching experience and 7 years of experience in industries. He also has 15 years of research experience. He is a recognized Supervisor by Anna University, Chennai (Ref. No: 4271917) and has published 30 research papers in International Journals apart from numerous presentations in National and International Conferences. Six research scholars have completed their Ph.D under his supervision. He has a patent and two copyrights to his credit.

Dr P. Karuppuswamy is involved in undertaking sponsored research projects funded by AICTE, IE, DST to the tune of more than one crore. He has received Best Faculty award from CTS in the year 2016. Best faculty Advisor award thrice from The Institution of Engineers India at Tamilnadu State during the years 2016, 2017 and 2018. Elected member in the All India Students Committee of The Institution of Engineers India during the years 2015, 2016 and 2018. He is a Member of various professional bodies like Institutions of Engineers (IE), Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE), Member in Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).
