Dr.T.R.Sathish Kumar

Faculty Description

Dr. T. R. Sathish Kumar is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Sri Ramakrishna College of Engineering. He obtained his B.E Mechanical Engineering Degree in the year 2002 and M.E Thermal Power Engineering Degree (with distinction) in the year 2004. He has obtained Ph.D Degree in the field of Solar Desalination. His research interest focuses on Solar Energy Utilization, Thermal Energy Storage and in Development of new Bio-fuels.

He has about 18 years of teaching experience in a reputed university and various leading self- financing engineering colleges and has handled courses related to Thermal Science and Engineering for Under Graduation and Post Graduation levels. He has published 15 papers in International Journals and presented about 9 papers in various National and International Conferences. He was the co-ordinator of the National Conference Advances in Mechanical and Materials Engineering 2017 organized by Mechanical Engineering Department of SREC. He has authored a Laboratory Manual titled "Thermal Engineering Systems Manual" for Undergraduate students. He is a member of various Technical societies viz., Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), The Institution of Engineers, India (IEI) and Indian Society of Heating Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE). Currently, he holds position of President Elect of  ISHRAE Coimbatore Chapter for the Society year 2023-24.
