Faculty Description

Dr. A. Vadivel is currently working as Assistant Professor (Sr.Gr) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College. He completed his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Mahendra Engineering College, Namakkal Dt. (Anna University) in the year 2007. He completed M.E. (First Class with Distinction) in Thermal Engineering from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore in the year 2013. He completed his doctorate in Anna University under the guidance of Dr. S. Periyasamy, Assistant Professor/Government College of Technology, Coimbatore. He has 10 years of teaching experience and one year of Industrial experience from Sakthi Instruments, Chennai as Service and Design Engineer.

His areas of interest are Internal Combustion Engine, Heat and Mass Transfer, Alternative Fuel, etc. His research interests include Combustion of fuel, Heat Exchanger, Solar and Fuel Cell, etc. He has attended a few International and National Conferences, Faculty Development Programs, Workshops and Seminars at various reputed Institutions.

He has guided the students to design and fabricate a BAJA vehicle and participates in National Level All Terrain Vehicle Competitions like SAEBAJA, Endura Student India, Mega ATV Championship and FMAE BAJA. He has guided the students to design and fabricate an Efficycle and participates in National Level Human Power Tricycle Competitions like SAENIS Efficycle and Cross Trick. He has guided the students to design and fabricate a Go-kart Vehicle and participates in National Level Go-kart Competitions like Bharath formula Karting Championship, Formula Karting Championship and Student Kart Design Challenge. He has filed two patents along with students. He has organized one day workshops, guest lectures, hands-on-training and National level Symposiums through SAESREC Collegiate Club in SREC.

He has elected as a Division Management Committee Member in Society of Automotive Engineers Southern Section Coimbatore Division.
