Faculty Description

Dr. R. Raveen is currently working as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in Department of Mechanical Engineering at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College. He is holding an addition responsibility as Coordinator of Collaborative Innovation Centre (CoIN) dealing with Innovation nurturing and Industry connect. He has completed his Ph.D., degree in the field of Graphene Based Nanocomposite Coatings in (Anna University, Chennai). He has completed his M.E Degree in CAD/CAM (Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore) in the year of 2013. He has completed his B.E Degree in Mechanical Engineering from (Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore) in the year 2011. He has completed his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidhyalaya Polytechnic College, Coimbatore) in the year 2007.

He has about 9 year and 4 months of teaching experience in Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College. He has overall 1 year of Industrial experience in Construction and Software. He has published 2 papers in reputed journal (SAGE Publications). He filed a patent for his innovative product based on Domestic Sanitary Napkin Incinerator. He has actively involved in developing products like AI based Facial Attendance Monitoring, Bionic Chair, Sanitizer dispenser etc.  His Research area of interest focuses on Nanocoatings and Tribology, 3D Printing and Industrial Automation. He has been doing consultancy works for various companies like International Aerospace Manufacturing Private Limited (IAMPL), Indoshell Casting Private limited , Bimetal Bearings.
