Mr. R. Raghu

Faculty Description

Mr. R. Raghu is currently working as Assistant Professor in Mechanical Department at Sri Ramakrishna College of Engineering, Coimbatore. He completed his M. E. (with distinction) in Industrial Metallurgy from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore in the year 2017. He completed his B. E. in Mechanical Engineering from Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology, Karaikudi in the year 2013.

He has 2 years of research experience at Amrita University, Coimbatore and 3 years of teaching experience at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore. He has been awarded as “Excellent Researcher in Metallurgy”. He has published 27 papers in reputed International journals such as Elsevier, Springer, Taylor and Francis, ASME, Wiley, Hanser etc., He has also published 07 National and International Conference papers. He has published 1 book chapter in Springer.

He is a member of Indian Institute of Metals. His research interest includes Metallurgy and Manufacturing, In-situ Metal Matrix Composites, Functionally Graded Composites, Tribology, Nano composites, Grain refinement, Additive Manufacturing and Friction Stir Processing. He is a peer reviewer in journals like Elsevier, Springer and Hindawi. His expertise leads to International collaborative project with University of Johanessburg, South Africa. He has attended 7 conferences, 6 workshops, 2 seminars and 4 faculty development programs in his area of expertise.
