Mr. B. Senthil Kumar
is serving as an Assistant Professor
(Selection Grade) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering
at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering
College, Coimbatore. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering
from the Institute of Road and
Transport Technology (IRTT), Erode, affiliated with Anna
University, in 2009. He completed his Master
of Engineering in Thermal Engineering with First Class with Distinction from
the Government College of Technology
(GCT), Coimbatore, in 2015. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at Anna University, Chennai. His
research interests include heat
transfer, solar energy, thermal systems, and energy-efficient technologies.
In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, Mr. Senthil
Kumar has actively contributed to academic administration by serving in various
capacities, including NBA and NAAC
Coordinator, Department Documentation In-charge, and Examination Coordinator.
He has published several research papers in reputed peer-reviewed journals and
has contributed to innovation through patent
filings, including one granted patent.
His technical expertise includes engineering software such as AutoCAD and ANSYS, which he extensively utilizes
for teaching and research. He has successfully completed numerous professional
certification courses through platforms such as NPTEL and Coursera
to enhance his academic and technical competencies. He has also participated in
more than 25 Faculty Development
Programmes (FDPs), workshops, and training programmes organized
by premier institutions, including IIT
Madras, NIT Tiruchirappalli, and AICTE-ATAL Academy.
Mr. Senthil Kumar is a Life
Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and
a Member of the Indian Society of
Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE).
He remains committed to advancing engineering education through quality
teaching, research, academic leadership and continuous professional
development.
