Faculty Description

Dr. V. Srinivasan is currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore. He completed his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with First Class from M.P. Nachimuthu M.J. Engineering College, Erode (affiliated to Anna University) in 2008, and his M.E. in CAD/CAM with First Class from RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Dindigul (Anna University) in 2011. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University in the area of Materials engineering

Dr. Srinivasan has over 16.6 years of teaching experience at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College and 1 year of industrial experience at Indoshell Cast, Coimbatore. His areas of research interest include Material Coatings and Automation.

He has published six research articles in Scopus/WoS-indexed journals and has actively participated in 8 Faculty Development Programs, as well as 10 workshops and seminars at reputed institutions. He has also delivered guest lectures on Strength of Materials for students and on CO/PO Assessment for faculty members across various colleges.

Dr. Srinivasan has successfully completed industry consultancy projects worth ₹30 lakhs for reputed companies such as L&T Defence, M/s Bimetal Bearings, and Indoshell Cast, all located in Coimbatore. He also received a funding grant of ₹6 lakhs under the TIH Chanakya Internship Program for Students.

Additionally, he has organized a workshop and a national-level conference at SREC and has served as a Co-coordinator for an AICTE ATAL Faculty Development Program.
