Dr. R. Pandeeswari

Faculty Description

Dr. R. Pandeeswari is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nanoscience and Technology. She completed her Bachelor's Degree (with distinction and university rank) in Mathematics and Physics from Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore, in the year 2009. She has received the Dr. Rajammal Devadas Award for Best Outgoing Student from Avinashilingam University. She completed her Master’s degree (with distinction) in Nanoscience and Technology from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore in the year 2011. In 2016, she received her Ph.D. from SASTRA University in Thanjavur. She has received the Founder Chancellor’s Award for Best Ph.D Thesis in Science for the successful completion of doctoral studies. She has around 6 years of teaching and 7 years of research experience. Her research interests include nanomaterials, thin films and chemical sensors. She is highly interested in metal oxide thin film based chemical sensors for exhaled breath analysis and environmental monitoring applications. She received an INSA Visiting Scientist Fellowship in the year of 2021–2022. She has 2 Indian patents (granted) and 15 international publications in various Scopus Indexed and Web of Science (WoS) journals. She has a H-index of 10. She contributed as a translator for the SWAYAM NPTEL courses of Quantum Mechanics and Fluid Mechanics (English to Tamil Translation). She organised various international conferences, faculty development programs, workshops, webinars, and various awareness programs.
