Dr. R. BRINDHA

Faculty Description

                Dr. R. Brindha began her teaching career in 2006 and is currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the Department of English at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore. She obtained her Doctorate in English Language Teaching (ELT) from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, in May 2022. She earned her M.Phil. in English from Bharathiar University in 2008 and completed both her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in English at PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore, affiliated to Bharathiar University. She also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Human Resource Management from Bharathiar University.She has published several research papers in international peer-reviewed journals and UGC-CARE listed journals, contributing significantly to the fields of English Language Teaching, Education, and Applied Linguistics. She has also served on the editorial boards of academic books, reflecting her commitment to scholarly publishing and academic excellence.  An active researcher and lifelong learner, she has completed numerous certification courses offered by NPTEL, edX, and Coursera and has actively participated in several national and international workshops, seminars, Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), and professional training programmes. She has also been invited as a resource person for various academic and faculty development programmes. Dr. Brindha holds the Business English Certificate (BEC) Vantage and has successfully completed the Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) with Band 3, awarded by Cambridge University. In addition, she has been recognized as a Cambridge English Speaking Examiner, demonstrating her expertise in English language assessment and evaluation.

              With nearly two decades of teaching, research, and academic administration experience, Dr. Brindha continues to contribute to higher education through quality teaching, impactful research, curriculum development, student mentoring, and community engagement initiatives.
