Faculty Description

    Dr. M. Leena Chandrika is currently working as an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the Department of English at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College. She completed her B.A in English Literature from PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore (Bharathiar University) in the year 2004. She completed M.A., in English Literature from PSGR Krishnammal College for Women; Coimbatore (Bharathiar University) in the year 2006.She completed her M.Phil in Bharathiar University in 2009.

    She has completed her Doctorate Degree under Bharathiar University in October 2021. She has around 15 years of teaching experience. She has completed around 16 online courses under the platforms like NPTEL, Coursera, and Cambridge Assessment English. She is one of the recognized trainers by the University of Cambridge towards the preparation of Cambridge English Exams applicable to candidates from schools, Colleges and Corporate. She has also been recognized as the Speaking Examiner of Cambridge English Exams. She has published 04 papers in international journals under UGC care list. She has also published 8 National and International Conference papers. She has received awards like NPTEL Discipline star, NPTEL Motivated Learner from NPTEL for her continuous involvement in Online certification. Thrice she has received topper award under NPTEL online course certification. She has also received Mentor award & Progress Champion award by NPTEL and Cambridge Assessment English respectively for guiding and motivating students in online certification. She has organized international conferences, Workshop, Seminars, literary events, Quiz competitions and also an 8 day national level FDP in collaboration with ELTAI. 

    She plays the role of Centre Exams Manager for SNR & Sons Charitable Trust an authorised centre for Cambridge Exams at SREC. She is also the faculty incharge of Q’Zenith – The Quiz Club of SREC since 2010 and has organized various intracollege, intercollegiate, interschool and also Open Quiz events. She has also attended various FDPs, workshops and short term courses in her area of expertise.
