Faculty Description

Dr. K. Savitha is an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the Department of Science and Humanities (English Division) at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore, with nearly 19 years of teaching experience in English Language and Literature. She obtained her Ph.D. in English from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, in 2019, and holds an M.Phil. from Bharathiar University and a Master's Degree in English from PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore. She is a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).

Her areas of interest include English Language Teaching (ELT), Business Communication, Professional Communication, Business Writing, English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and Technology-enhanced Language Learning. She is dedicated to providing quality education through student-centred teaching and continuous professional growth. By integrating contemporary teaching strategies and educational technologies, she aims to empower students with the knowledge, confidence and communication skills required for academic and professional success.

She has published research papers in Scopus-indexed and peer-reviewed journals, as well as conference proceedings. She actively participates in Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), workshops and conferences to strengthen her teaching and research expertise. She is a Business English Certificate (BEC) Trainer, a Cambridge-certified Speaking Examiner and has delivered guest lectures and Business English training programmes for students and faculty members. Through her academic, research and institutional contributions, she remains committed to nurturing competent professionals equipped to meet the evolving demands of higher education and the global workplace.
