under the guidance of Dr. J. Suresh. She completed her PhD, masters and
bachelors from Department of Physics, PSGR Krishnammal College for Women,
Coimbatore, India. Her Ph.D thesis title is "Quantum Chemical Exploration
of the Photophysical Properties of Sn(IV)tetrakis(4-pyridyl) porphyrins (SnTP)
and the Redox Properties of 1,2 and 1,4 - benzoquinone molecules". Her
research areas of interest include Electronic Structure Methods, Density
Functional Theory, Porphyrin nanostructures, Dye-sensitized solar cells,
Hydrogen storage, Sodium ion batteries, Organic cathodes, Excited state
properties, Absorption and Emission and Peptide Nucleic Acids. She has
published 9 articles and has presented in various International and National
conferences. She completed her M.Sc. project in the Theoretical Science
Section, IGCAR, Kalpakkam, under the supervision of Dr. G. Raghavan,
entitled, On the Non-Local, Non-Realistic Nature of Entangled Bi- Partite
States. Further she has secured Second Rank in B. Sc., (Physics) degree
examinations (2014) and has received Post Graduate Fellowship for
University Rank Holders, University Grants Commission for the year 2014-2016.
Dr. Pavithra also worked as a Reviewer for the "Journal of Experimental
Biology and Agricultural Sciences", for the period of April - November
2021). Currently, she is working on the structural and electrochemical
properties of the discharged states of quinone-CNT molecules and the
interaction study between drugs and Graphene oxide.
