Dr. J. P. Deebasree

Faculty Description

Dr. J.P.Deebasree is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics. She completed her Bachelor's Degree in Applied Sciences from PSG College of Technology (Bharathiyar University), Coimbatore, in the year 2003. She has received the “Chemistry Convention Award” for Best Project from PSG Tech. She completed her Master’s degree (with distinction) in Materials Sciences (Anna University), Coimbatore, in the year 2005. She has received “Best Presentation Award” for the poster presented at “International Symposium for Research Scholars (ISRS) held at IIT Chennai during Dec 2024. Her research experience was initiated at Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research where she completed her MSc project on “Laser Boriding of Austenitic Type 304L Stainless Steel” In 2019, she received her Ph.D. from Karunya University, Coimbatore. She has overall 18 years’ experience, which includes 2 years research experience at National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML) under Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) at Taramani, Chennai where her research area was Solid Oxide Fuel Cells. She has been into industry for about 14 years assisting US and UK research students and universities with their research projects offering chemicals and relevant laboratory equipment’s Her research interests include nanomaterials for photocatalytic applications and biofilm eradication. She has 5 international publications in various Scopus Indexed and Web of Science (WoS) journals. She has an H-index of 5.
