Lab Dimension: 106 Sq.m


The department allocates an annual budget for the procurement of new systems, upgrading of existing infrastructure, system servicing and proper disposal of obsolete equipment in coordination with the Computer Maintenance Cell (CMC). Awareness on cybersecurity is provided to students and faculty, including avoiding phishing and suspicious websites, preventing social engineering attacks and promoting safe internet usage. Software tools, licensed applications are regularly updated to meet current curriculum requirements. Technical staff are assigned to monitor system functionality and provide immediate troubleshooting support. Maintenance and logbooks are maintained to record equipment usage. Valuable and Consumable stock registers are maintained for laboratory equipments. Regular cleaning and cable management are implemented to ensure system longevity and safe operation. AC units undergo regular servicing to ensure consistent and optimal cooling performance within the laboratory. Switches, LAN cables and internet connectivity are periodically inspected and upgraded to ensure high-speed and uninterrupted access.
