Dr. S. SOWMIYA

Faculty Description

             Dr.S.Sowmiya has completed her Ph.D. Mathematics under Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore in the field of Fuzzy Algebra. She received her M.Phil. degree in Mathematics from Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore in the year 2017 and Master's degree in Mathematics from Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore in 2016. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore in the year 2014.

She is a Gold medalist in M.Sc. Mathematics and a proficiency holder in B.Sc. Mathematics. She has received "Sri N.M.R.Subraman Award" for securing first rank in M.Sc. Mathematics. Her core areas of interests are Fuzzy Algebra and Queueing theory. She has published 11 research articles in International journals and also presented 4 papers in international conferences and 1 paper in national seminar. She is good in handling LaTeX and MATLAB softwares.
