Expert Talk Series: Innovation and Translation Research on Industry Specific Problems

The Computer Science and Engineering and Research and Ethical Committee jointly organized an "Expert Talk Series: Innovation and Translation Research on Industry-Specific Problems" on 8th July 2023. The event consisted of two lectures, with Session 1 effectively handled by Dr. Manish Gupta, Director, Google Research INDIA, Bangalore, focusing on "The Transformative Power of AI." Session 2 was conducted by Shri. Sairam Veeraswamy, Senior Director, Advanced Technology Group at VMware, focusing on "Research Engineering - A Framework for Research Translation to Drive Pragmatic Fusion of Industrial and Academic Research." Approximately 200 participants from institutions affiliated with SNR Son\'s Charitable Trust attended the talk series. The event was highly engaging and interactive, with participants having the opportunity to ask questions that were clearly answered by the resource persons. Certificates for the "Active Participant Award" were presented to those who fully engaged in the entire talk series. The feedback received from the participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their appreciation for the valuable insights gained from the series. Overall, the talk series was a great success and significantly contributed to the knowledge and skills of the participants. Most of the participants are looking forward to organizing more events of this nature in the future.
