Lecture Series on How to improve your research Skills?

The Research & Ethical Committee and Nano Science and Technology jointly organized a lecture series titled "How to Improve Your Research Skills?" from the 10^th to the 12^th of January 2023. The series consisted of five lectures and was effectively handled by Prof. N. Sundararajan from the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. The first lecture focused on Research Preparation and Planning, while the second lecture covered How to do an Effective Literature Review. Lecture 3 dealt with How to Write an Effective Research Paper/Thesis or Make an Oral Presentation, and Lecture 4 addressed How to Handle Paper Reviews Effectively. Finally, Lecture 5 discussed Research Ethics and General Advice for PhD Students. Approximately 150 participants from institutions affiliated with SNR Son\'s Charitable Trust attended the lecture series. The event was highly engaging and interactive, with participants given the opportunity to ask questions that were clearly answered by the resource person. Certificates for the "Active Participant Award" were presented to those who fully engaged in the entire lecture series. The feedback received from the participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their appreciation for the valuable insights gained from the series. Overall, the lecture series was a great success and contributed significantly to the knowledge and skills of the participants in research methodology and ethics. We look forward to organizing more events of this nature in the future.
