Aircraft Systems and Maintenance Laboratory

This laboratory is equipped with the serviceable Husky Cessna152 aircraft and it housed in the Aircraft Hangar of size of 120x40(4800sqft/445sqm). The main objective of this laboratory is to prepare the aircraft in an airworthy condition through the various maintenance practices. This lab offers fundamental ideas about the ground handling operations like Jacking, leveling, rigging of the aircraft. The aircraft systems lab is also used to train the students about the inspection and servicing activities performed in the aviation field. This laboratory consists of essential equipments such as Adjustable trestle, Screw jack, Digital sprite level and Cable tensiometer. This lab is also effectively handled through the demonstration work and videos. The lab facilities are also effectively utilized for understanding the theoretical concepts to all the aeronautical students irrespective of the year. After the completion of this laboratory the students of B.E Aeronautical Engineering would be able to carry out the maintenance operations for diagnose the difficulty and remedy for the aircraft systems.
