Dr. S. Kanchana is working as an Associate
Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering. She received her Ph.D. in the
Faculty of Civil Engineering from Anna University, Chennai in the year 2013.
She obtained M.E.(Environmental Engineering) from Government College of
Technology, Coimbatore in 2008, and B.E.(Civil Engineering) from Kumaraguru
College of Technology, Coimbatore in the year 2002.
She has a total teaching experience of 14
years including 2 1/2 years of full time research experience and four years of
industrial experience. She has published 8 papers in national and international
conferences and 15 papers in refereed journals and more than 30 papers in other
journals. She has received the best women faculty award from the nature science
foundation.
She is a certified Accredited Professional -
IGBC (Indian Green Building Council). Her field of research interests include
Industrial waste treatment and construction safety.
She has guided more than 20 projects at undergraduate level and 20 projects at postgraduate level. She has attended many seminars, workshops and FDPs. She is a life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and a member of International Association of Engineers.
