Faculty Description

R. Malathi is currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in the Department of Civil Engineering, demonstrating a strong commitment to teaching and academic excellence. She completed her Bachelor of Engineering in 2005 from Annamalai University, Chidambaram, with First Class, and her Master of Engineering in 2008 from the same institution, securing First Class with Distinction. She is presently pursuing her Ph.D. (Part-time) in the field of Air Pollution and Control Engineering at Government College of Technology, Coimbatore. With 16 years of teaching experience, she has made notable contributions to academic and research activities. She has published 14 research papers in reputed journals and presented 7 papers at national and international conferences. She has also been actively involved in organizing seminars, workshops, and technical discussion forums, and in guiding and mentoring students in academic and project work. She has received research funding from agencies such as AICTE under the Research Promotion Scheme and TNSCST under the Students Project Scheme. Her areas of specialization include Water and Wastewater Treatment, Air Pollution and Control Engineering, and Air Pollution Modelling, with a focus on sustainable environmental management and pollution control strategies. She is a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and the International Association of Engineering and Technology for Skill Development (IAETSD).
