Faculty Description

Dr.Sathish Kumar Nagarajan , Professor in Electronics and Communication engineering Department is an accommodating and versatile individual with over 20 years of teaching and 11 years of research experience with a solid commitment to the social and academic growth and development. He received his Ph.D degree from ANNA University, Chennai in the Field of MIMO Receivers-Wireless Communication, in 2012. He completed his Masters degree (Applied Electronics) programme from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore.

He has received the Appreciation award 'Confederation of Elite Academician IICDC' from TI, AICTE,DST for the year 2019. He has received Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam Award for scientific excellence for the year 2018 and 2016 from Marina R and D labs, Chennai.

His great zeal towards research has fetched him a fund of Rs 13.5 Lakhs from AICTE, under Research Promotion Scheme (RPS) for 3 years from the academic year 2020-2021. He has successfully completed 3 AICTE grants namely, AICTE RPS for 8.5 lakhs,AICTE MODROB 9.1 Lakhs and AICTE STTP for INR 7 Lakhs respectively. He is a member in IQAC and BOS and Organizer for Governing Council Meet.

He has filed two patents and 3 copyrights to his credits. He has presented a paper  in IEEE TENCON International Conference held in Singapore and also chaired a Session on IoT.

He is a recognized research supervisor for guiding Ph.D from ANNA University Chennai and has produced 2 Ph.Ds and 6 research scholars are continuing their research under his guidance.

He has organized many conferences, workshops and Faculty Development Programs which have received funding from national bodies such as IEEE chapters, IETE, ISTE, ISRO, DRDO, National Instruments. He has published 10 papers in National conference and 5 in the international conference and 18 papers in reputed national and international journals. He has won Three ' Best Paper' awards for his research. He is a life member in various professional societies like IEEE (USA), IEANG , IETE, ISTE,SSI.

He has guided 24 UG projects and 8 PG projects. He has participated in many workshops and FDPs. He has been the reviewer of Tata McGraw Hill publications, New Delhi. He has authored a book titled A Course Material with CD Rom on "Microprocessor and MicroController" Published by Sona Veristy, Salem. He also has published 2 mono graphs on Workshop practices for engineering students.

His research Interests includes Medical imaging, Industrial Automation, Wireless Communication, Bio Signal Medical Processing, Mathematical modeling of Systems, Analog Electronics, Digital Image Processing & Computer Vision. He is a trained auditor for ISO 9001:2015 and Outcome Based Education and Accreditation. He is familiar with software packages including Materials Studio, Matlab, LabVIEW, Scientific Python packages, COMSOL, kit etc and applies ICT tools for teaching learning- Process.
