Faculty Description

Dr. S.P.Vimal received his PhD degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai in 2013. He has obtained his Masters Degree (with distinction) in Applied Electronics from Sathyabama Deemed University in 2004 and Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from P.S.N.A. College of Engineering in 2001.

He has more than 16 years of academic and 5 years of research experience. He is specialized in the area of Digital Signal Processing and Wireless Communication. The research area covers PAPR Reduction in OFDM systems, PAPR Techniques in OFDM systems, BER Reduction in Wireless Communication, Investigation on Error Control Codes in Digital Communication and 4G, 5G / LTE systems. He has published several papers in National and International Journals /Conferences. He is a reviewer of several International Journals. He is a life member in various professional societies like IEEE and ISTE.  He is an Approved supervisor under the faculty of Information and Communication Engineering, Centre for Research , Anna University , Chennai ,Tamil Nadu .
