Faculty Description

Dr.H.Mangalam has received her B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore in 1988. She has received her M.E. degree in Applied Electronics from PSG College of Technology in 1993. She has pursued her doctoral programme in PSG College of Technology with specialization in VLSI Design and Testing and received her Ph.D. degree in the Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai in 2009. Being passionate in teaching, she has started her academic career in 1988 and has worked in various positions in reputed institutions. She has a total experience of 32 years in teaching amongst which she has worked as Head of the Department for 13 years. Presently, she is working as Professor in the Department of ECE. Her areas of interest include VLSI Design & Testing, Analog & Digital Communication, and Wireless Communication & Networks.

She is a recognized Ph.D. Supervisor under Anna University, Chennai and 10 Ph.D. scholars under her supervision had obtained their Ph.D. degree. Currently, she is guiding one Ph.D. scholar. She has co-authored two book chapters and has published 48 research papers in SCI/Scopus journals and 37 papers in International/National Conferences. She has delivered more than 30 Guest Lectures in premier institutions and participated in IEEE International Conferences with fellowships. She has received grants from various Government funding agencies and has organized many FDPs/workshops/ Seminars. She is a member in Professional bodies like IEEE, ISTE, IE, and SSI. She has acted as an academic expert member in Board of Studies of ECE department in reputed institutions and technical committee member/reviewer in International Conferences. She has received Shri.P.K.Das Memorial Best Faculty Award 2017 in ECE Stream under Senior Category instituted by Nehru Group of Institutions, Tamil Nadu & Kerala.
