Faculty Description

Dr.K.Balamurugan is currently working as an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He received his Ph.D in the faculty of Electrical Engineering, Anna University, Chennai in the year 2020. He received his M.E., degree in Power Electronics and Drives from Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore, India in 2006, and B.E., degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering branch from Muthayammal Engineering College, Rasipuram, India in 2004. He has a teaching experience of 14 years.

He has been awarded as the "Innovation and Incubation Ambassador'' by MHRD IIC New Delhi and also received "MGM Award" from IEEE Head Quarters, New York. His research interests are Circuit Theory, Control Systems, Linear Integrated Circuits and Power Electronics.

He has guided 24 UG student's projects and 4 PG student's projects. He is actively involved in project consultancy assignments and has been credited with the Grant of Student Project Scheme 2011 from the TNSCST (Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology). He received funds from IEEE for organizing workshops, seminars and guest lectures on various topics.

He has published 13 papers in reputed referred International & National Journals and Conferences. He has also chaired several programmes & Conferences and delivered a special lecture on "Student Inspirational and Motivational Talk".

He is a Senior Member of IEEE and Life member of ISTE, ACM and the Student Branch Counsellor of IEEE in SREC.
