Dr. K. Balamurugan is an
Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore, with over 20 years of teaching and research experience.
He obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical
Engineering from Anna University,
Chennai, and his M.E. in Power
Electronics and Drives from Kumaraguru College of Technology,
Coimbatore.
His research interests
include Power Electronics, Electric
Vehicles, Battery Management Systems, Renewable Energy Systems, DC–DC
Converters, Motor Drives, Smart Grid Technologies, and Energy Storage Systems.
He has published several research papers in reputed international journals and
conferences indexed in SCI, Scopus, and
Web of Science.
Dr. Balamurugan is a Senior Member of IEEE and serves as
the IEEE Student Branch Counsellor
at SREC. He actively mentors students in research, innovation, and professional
development and has organized numerous technical events, workshops, and
conferences.
His notable recognitions
include the Innovation and Incubation
Ambassador award from the Ministry of Education Innovation Cell
(MoE-IIC), NPTEL Top Performing Mentor Recognition, the MGM Award from IEEE
Headquarters, USA, and the Best
Reviewer Award from MAT Journals.
