Dr.
M. Chindamani is currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade)
in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Sri Ramakrishna
Engineering College, Coimbatore. She earned her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering
from Anna University, Chennai, in 2023. She holds a Master of Engineering
degree in Power Electronics and Drives from Anna University,Coimbatore , and a
Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from
Dr. N.N. College of Engineering, affiliated with the University of Madras .
With
over 20 years of teaching experience, Dr. Chindamani also holds a Postgraduate
Certification in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science from the Indian
Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad. Her research interests
encompass power converters, electrical machines, and power systems. She has
published over 22 research papers in reputed SCI and Scopus-indexed journals,
as well as in international and national conferences. She actively contributes
to the academic community as a reviewer for several esteemed journals and has
been recognized as an Outstanding
Reviewer by the Computers and
Electrical Engineering journal (Elsevier).Her extended areas of research
include power systems, electric vehicles, data science, and artificial
intelligence. She is also involved in multidisciplinary research projects
focused on the development of sustainable and biodegradable composites for
electrical insulators.
With
extensive teaching experience, she has handled a wide range of undergraduate
and postgraduate courses related to power systems and electrical machines, from
introductory to advanced levels. Leveraging her expertise in modern engineering
tools such as ANSYS, MATLAB, and 1D SCAP, she has successfully guided numerous
academic research projects at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Dr. M. Chindamani’s expertise has led to
several industry-linked consultancy projects. She has actively mentored
innovation-driven initiatives, including participation in the L&T Techgium
competition,
She has successfully completed 10 NPTEL courses
and has been serving as an NPTEL course Regional language Translator since
2020. Additionally, she is a certified trainer under the ASDC–NEP (Automotive
Skills Development Council – National Education Policy) Program, further
reflecting her commitment to bridging industry-academia skill development. She
has actively organized and participated numerous workshops and short-term
training programs in premier engineering and technology institutions in her areas of
expertise, contributing to continuous academic and professional development. She
is also an active member of several professional bodies, including the
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Indian Society
for Technical Education (ISTE).
