Faculty Description

Mr. V. Gopu obtained his post graduate degree in Power Electronics and Drives from Government College of Engineering, Salem (Anna University) in June 2006. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Government College of Engineering, Salem (University of Madras) in the year April 2000. He started his research work in the field of Adjustable Speed Drives in July 2011 at Anna University. His total work experience includes 13 years of academic at SREC, ten years in polytechnic and one year in Industry. His areas of interest are Power Electronics, Drives, Computer based applications, Microcontrollers and Electric vehicles. He has published papers in seven international journals which includes two Scopus indexed journals, and six International/National Conferences. He has participated in ten Faculty Development Programmes. He has attended various workshops, short-term courses in his area of expertise, including eleven online certification courses. He is a life member of ISTE and IAENG.

His career objective is to commit to the cause of promoting quality technical education to the students by practicing innovative teaching methods.
