Mr.
V. Gopu is an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the Department of
Electrical and Electronics Engineering with over 30 years of professional experience, comprising 19+ years at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering
College (SREC), 10 years in
polytechnic education and one
year of industrial experience.
He
obtained his Master's degree in Power
Electronics and Drives from the Government College of Engineering,
Salem, affiliated with Anna University, in June 2006. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Electrical and
Electronics Engineering from the Government College of Engineering,
Salem, under the University of Madras, in April 2000. In July 2011, he commenced
his research in the field of Adjustable
Speed Drives at Anna University.
His
teaching and research interests include Power
Electronics, Electric Drives, Power Systems, Computer-Based Applications,
Microcontrollers, Digital Electronics and Electric Vehicles. He is
dedicated to delivering quality technical education through innovative teaching
methodologies and outcome-based learning practices.
Mr.
Gopu has published 15 research papers
in international journals, including 10 Scopus-indexed journals and has presented 8 papers at international and national
conferences. He has actively enhanced his professional expertise by
participating in numerous Faculty
Development Programmes (FDPs), workshops, short-term training programmes and
fourteen online certification courses.
He
is a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE)
and the International Association of
Engineers (IAENG).
His career objective is to contribute to excellence in engineering education by fostering innovation, research and student-centered learning while preparing future engineers to meet the evolving demands of industry and society.
