Faculty Description

Dr. K. Balachander obtained his Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from PSG Polytechnic College, Coimbatore, in 1993, and later earned his Bachelor’s degree in the same field from Coimbatore Institute of Technology in 2001. He pursued his Master of Engineering in VLSI Design at Anna University, Coimbatore, graduating in 2009, and completed his Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Karpagam Academy of Higher Education (KAHE), Coimbatore, in 2017. In addition, he acquired a Postgraduate Diploma in Electrical Energy Management and Auditing from Annamalai University in 2016.

Currently, Dr. Balachander serves as an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore. He has accumulated around 17 years of teaching experience along with 7 years of industry experience. Over the course of his academic career, he has published nearly 90 papers in Scopus-indexed journals, 7 papers in SCI/WoS-indexed journals, and 20 papers in reputed conference proceedings. He has also authored three books and contributed five book chapters in his areas of expertise.

Dr. Balachander has successfully guided five Ph.D. scholars at KAHE and actively serves as a reviewer for several prestigious international journals. He is a member of various professional organizations including ISTE, IE (I), IAEMP, IAENG, IRED, and IACSIT. His primary research interests include Renewable Energy, Smart Grid, Distributed Generation, and Battery Management Systems.
