One-Day Hands-On Workshop on “Fundamentals of Deep Learning

The Department of Information Technology, in association with CSI, successfully organized a one-day hands-on workshop on “Fundamentals of Deep Learning”, sponsored by the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI), on 30th December 2025. The workshop was conducted for 30 second-year IT students, providing them with valuable exposure to deep learning concepts and practical applications. The program commenced with an inspiring inaugural address by the Head of the Department, Dr. N. Susila, Prof & Head, who emphasized the importance of emerging technologies in shaping future careers. The workshop was led by Dr. N. Saranya, NVIDIA DLI Ambassador, who delivered insightful sessions and guided students through hands-on exercises as part of the “Fundamentals of Deep Learning” course. The session enabled participants to gain practical knowledge and a strong foundation in deep learning techniques.
