Dr. N. SURESH KUMAR

Faculty Description

Dr. N. Suresh Kumar is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Technology.  He completed Ph.D in the faculty of Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai in 2020. He obtained his Masters  in Software Engineering from Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore in 2010 and completed his Masters in Computer Applications from Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore in 2002. He has 20 Years of teaching experience and 2 Years of industry experience. He has guided many  UG/ PG projects. He has successfully passed the BEC preliminary certification examination.

His research and teaching interests include Data Mining, Data Science, Software Engineering, Database Management Systems, Computer Networks, Object Oriented Analysis and Design. He has published and presented 20 papers in National and International level.  He has been awarded with Senior Educator and Researcher from National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development(NFED) and Young Scientist Award from EET CRS Academic Brilliance Awards 2019,New Delhi.  He has undergone consultancy projects, attended many workshops, completed online courses, seminars and Faculty Development programs. He has been the resource person for many guest lectures. He has also organized many workshops and seminars, guest lectures and online courses.

He is one of the coordinators of BoS and Academic Council Meeting (ACM) of SREC and also the coordinator of SREC Red Ribbon Club(RRC) and Software Development Information Storage Club(SDISC). He is a lifetime member of ISTE, CSI, IAENG, and IACSIT. He has motivated many students and made them to participate in various Hackathons conducted by SIH, Honeywell, Tata Innovate, etc., He is a recognized supervisor in Anna University and Now he has 5 scholars under his guidance currently pursuing Ph.D degree. He is also serving as Nodel Officer, SREC for TNEA from the year 2023 admissions.
