Faculty Description

Mr. G. Ram Sundar is currently working as an Assistant Professor (Sel Grade) in the Department of Information Technology. He has obtained his Bachelor of Technology  in Information Technology from Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore. He obtained his Master of Engineering  in Biometrics and Cyber Security from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore. He has 10 years of teaching experience, and has guided 15 UG projects. His specialization and major areas of research includes Cyber Security, Cyber Forensics and Blockchain. He is a member of  ISTE, CSI, IACSIT and IAENG .He has published papers in International Conferences and Journals. He has attended various Faculty Development Programmes, seminars & workshops. He has delivered invited talks on Cyber Security in Government College of Technology, Coimbatore and Avinashlingam University. A  He is currently working on developing smart agriculture using Blockchain Technogy, Blockchain based online voting and OSINT framework for classification of privacy trends .He has completed International MOOC course from COURSERA  and MangoDB university , some of the notable courses like Digital Footprint from the University of Edinburgh, Cybersecurity and Its Ten Domains from University System of Georgia, Introduction to Cisco Networking from Cisco, IBM Blockchain Foundation Developer provided by IBM Developer skills Network.

He has participated in National level Curate-a-thon on Cyber Security organized by NASSCOM. His proof of concept has been selected in DSCI-Facebook application challenge. He is the Entrepreneur coordinator for the department. His project team developed a project titled Blockchain technologies for Smart Agriculture. It has been selected and awarded the First prize in International Business Canvas Model held in APU university ,Malaysia during the year 2019.
