Faculty Description

 Mr. R. Hari Prakash is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore. He is also a Research Scholar pursuing his Ph.D. in Cyber Security at Anna University, Chennai.  He completed his Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Biometrics and Cyber Security from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, in 2024, and his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from SNS College of Technology in 2022. His academic background reflects a strong foundation in both core engineering and advanced cybersecurity domains.  His research interests include Cyber Security, Network Intrusion Detection, Machine Learning, and Cloud Security. He is actively involved in developing intelligent security systems using deep learning techniques such as LSTM integrated with PCA to identify cyber threats in modern and edge computing environments.  He has published research articles in reputed journals and presented papers at national-level conferences, including the Third National Level Research Conclave at PSG College of Technology. His work demonstrates a strong commitment to research, innovation, and real-world problem-solving. He has successfully completed several professional certifications and training programs, including NPTEL certification in Practical Cyber Security for Cyber Security Practitioners, NVIDIA’s Introduction to Transformer-Based Natural Language Processing, and Great Learning’s Neural Networks and Deep Learning. He has also completed the UGC Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme (MMTTP) on Penetration Testing, an FDP on Next-Gen Cybersecurity at IIT Kanpur, and a Six-Day FDP on Smart Healthcare with AI, IoT, and Cybersecurity.

Additionally, he has completed specialized courses from EC-Council on Dark Web, Anonymity & Cryptocurrency and Cybersecurity for Businesses, along with participation in Google Gemini Academy 2025. He has also undergone training in COBIT 2019 focusing on Technology Governance, Risk Management, and Business Alignment.  His technical expertise includes programming languages such as Python, C++, and SQL, along with tools like Kali Linux, Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, and Microsoft Excel. His core interests include Ethical Hacking, Cryptography, Cloud Security, Penetration Testing, and Machine Learning.  He has actively participated in workshops, including Ethical Hacking at IIT Madras, and has contributed as a panel member in discussions on emerging technologies such as Web3 and India’s Digital Future. With a strong blend of academic excellence, research focus, certifications, and teaching experiences.
