Faculty Description

Dr. M. Abirami completed her Ph.D., in the area of Organic Chemistry, at Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, in the year 2023. She has completed her M.Phil,in Chemistry from P.S.G.R. Krishnammal College for women, Coimbatore, in the year 2007. She completed her Post Graduate from Aditanar College of Arts and Science, Tiruchendur in the year 2006 and she is the recipient of a gold medal in her P.G for being the university topper. She completed her B.Sc., in Chemistry (with University VIII rank in chemistry) at Govindammal Aditanar College for women, Tiruchendur in the year 2004. She is a passionate researcher in the field of synthetic organic chemistry and electrochemistry. Her research interests include organic chemistry, electrochemistry (corrosion) and nano composites.

She started her career as Lecturer in Chemistry at P.S.G.R. Krishnammal College for women, Coimbatore in the year 2007. Later she joined as Lecturer in Chemistry at Dr. Sivanthi Aditanar College of Engineering, Tiruchendur, in the year 2008 and later got associated with Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College in the year 2012. She has more than 18 years of academic experience and 13 years of research experience. She has participated and presented papers in more than 35 National/ International conferences and seminars. She has attended various workshops and training programmes. She has more than 17 publications in reputed science journals.
