Faculty Description

Mrs. J. Sheeja is currently working as Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in Chemistry department at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College. She completed her B.Sc. (with distinction) in Chemistry from Holy Cross College, Trichy (Bharathidasan University) in the year 2001. She completed M.Sc. in Chemistry from Holy Cross College, Trichy (Bharathidasan University) in the year 2003. She completed M.Phil. in Chemistry from Bharathidasan University in the year 2005. She completed MBA in Human Resource from Bharathiar University in the year 2010. She has completed Ph.D. in Chemistry from Anna University, Chennai in the year 2023. She has 14.5 years of teaching experience. Her research interest includes adsorption studies and nano material application in pollution abatement. She is a peer reviewer in the journal Adsorption Science and technology. She has published 4 research articles in International journals (Scopus/Web of Science Indexed - 3) and 7 research papers in National/International conferences. She has attended 13 FDPs/STTPs and 6 of them were attended in the last 5 years. She has attended 22 workshops and conferences in reputed institutions including NIT Trichy and IIT Madras.

     She is the programme officer of National service scheme, SREC. She has organized regular activities and special camps jointly with NGOs, industry CSR and other institutions. She has also organized government scheme programmes like Swachh Bharat summer internship, Jal Shakthi Abhiyan, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Swachh Sarvekshan Grameen and Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. She has received fund from District Institute for Education and Training and organized four days FDP on District level training on phonetics & instructional strategies for primary teachers
