Wits are sharpened at the Q-Zenith Quiz Club where intellectual jousting becomes a thrilling pursuit. It is common knowledge that linguistic horizons extend beyond the English language. Bearing in that mind, the department fosters a spirit of cultural immersion by offering courses in German, Japanese, and Tamil. In a bid to extend the application of its collective expertise beyond the classroom, the Department conducts regular outreach programs to hone the communication skills of school and polytechnic students, ensuring a strong foundation for introduction and development of essential soft skills coveted by employers. Dr. A. Sakthivel, a seasoned Electrical & Electronics Engineering professional with over 28 years of rich experience spanning academia and industry. He holds a B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from GCT Coimbatore (1999), an M.E. in Power Electronics and Drives from PSG College of Technology (2002), and a Ph.D. from Anna University, Chennai (2016).
His core research interests focus on power quality, power converters, and soft computing techniques. He has had the privilege to contribute to the global academic community as a recognized research supervisor at Anna University, Chennai since 2017, and as a sabbatical researcher at Cape Breton University, Canada (2012).
Throughout my career, He has published 25+ papers in reputed international journals including IEEE Access, Elsevier, and Springer, and presented 24+ research papers at various national and international conferences.
