???? "True learning occurs when you meet
experts who challenge your assumptions and broaden your understanding." ????
We are delighted to
share that Ms. Umamaheswari S, a full-time research scholar (2021 Batch)
from the Department of Nano Science and Technology, recently participated in
the 18th International Congress on Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry (ICTAC
2024) and the 14th National Conference of the Indian Thermodynamics Society,
held at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT Madras) from
September 2-7, 2024. This prestigious event marks a historic milestone as it is
the first time ICTAC has been hosted in India. The conference covered a wide
range of topics including thermodynamics, material science, environmental
science, and pharmaceutical research, attracting over 400 renowned scientists
and researchers from 20 countries worldwide.
Ms. Umamaheswari
S actively participated in the conference, presenting her research work
titled "Enhancement of Heat Transfer with Spinel-Type Ferrite Magnetic
Nanofluids Under External Magnetic Fields," mentored by Prof. Moorthi
Pichumani and received appreciation from the jury panel. She also had the
opportunity to interact with distinguished experts such as Prof. Chi-Min Shu
from National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Taiwan, and
Prof. Sohel Murshed from the University of Lisbon, Portugal.
We extend our
heartfelt gratitude to the management of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College
(SREC) for generously sponsoring her participation through seed funding and
encouraging her to be a part of this prestigious International event. We
commend her dedication to advancing knowledge in her field and happily
appreciate her efforts.
Let us continue to
uplift and empower women in STEM ????????, recognizing their vital contributions to Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Mathematics.
Here’s to a future
that is more inclusive and innovative! Cheers!
