Dr. R. Pandeeswari

Faculty Description

Dr. R. Pandeeswari is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics.

She completed her Bachelor's Degree (with distinction and university rank) in Mathematics and Physics from Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore, in the year 2009. She has received the Dr. Rajammal Devadas Award for Best Outgoing Student from Avinashilingam University.

She completed her Master’s degree (with distinction) in Nanoscience and Technology from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, in the year 2011. In 2016, she received her Ph.D. from SASTRA University, Thanjavur. She has received the Founder Chancellor’s Award for Best Ph.D. Thesis in Science for the successful completion of her doctoral studies.

She has around 10 years of teaching and research experience. Her research interests include nanomaterials, thin films, and chemical sensors. She is highly interested in metal oxide thin film-based chemical sensors for exhaled breath analysis and environmental monitoring applications.

She received an INSA Visiting Scientist Fellowship in the year 2021–2022, and an INSA Summer Research Fellowship for Teachers – 2024–2025.

She has 2 Indian patents (granted) and 16 international publications in various Scopus Indexed and Web of Science (WoS) journals. She has an H-index of 10.

She contributed as a translator for the SWAYAM NPTEL courses of Quantum Mechanics and Fluid Mechanics (English to Tamil Translation).

She has organised various international conferences, faculty development programs, workshops, webinars, and awareness programs.
