Dr. R. Sudhakar received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai in the year 2018. He obtained his Master's degree in Advanced Manufacturing Technology from Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Anna University Chennai in 2008 and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Anna University Chennai in 2005.
He has about 13 years and 6 months of teaching experience in Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College & 2 years of Industry Experience in the Quality Assurance and Metrology field. His areas of interest are Welding Automation, Mechatronics, and Robotics. His research interests include Welding Processes, Mechatronics System Design, Fluid Power Automation, Manufacturing, and Simulation.
He has organized National Level Student Robot Championship Workshop & Competition. He has presented papers at National and International conferences. He has published four papers in Web of Science / Scopus-indexed journals. He is an active review member of the International Journal of Material Processing Technology, Industrial Robot, and Assembly Automation
He has prepared and obtained a copyright for Mechatronics Engineering Laboratory & Dynamics Laboratory Instruction Manual. He handles courses on Design for Manufacturing and Assembly, Fluid Power Automation, Industrial Robotics, Mechatronics and Automation, and Industrial Control Systems. He is a Life member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), The International Association of Engineers (IAENG), and The Robotics Society of India (TRS).
He is an Anna University, Chennai Recognized Supervisor (Ref No: 4020056) with specialization in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, and Industrial Automation.
