Ms. K. Roobini

Faculty Description

Ms. K. Roobini is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Robotics and Automation. She holds an M.E. degree in Industrial Automation and Robotics from Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Erode (2021), and a B.E. degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Salem College of Engineering and Technology, Salem (2019). She is presently pursuing her Ph.D. at Anna University, Chennai, with a research focus on Path Planning in autonomous systems.

She has consistently demonstrated excellence in the field of industrial automation. She was awarded the India-1 Bronze Medal in INDUSTRIAL 4.0 at the BRICS Skill Competition 2022 and received the Excellent Prize in the same domain at the BRICS Future Skills Challenge 2023. Further recognizing her expertise, she was selected to represent India as an Expert in the Industrial Design Technology category at the BRICS International Finals in 2023.

Her academic and research achievements include 1 granted design patent, 2 published product patents, and 4 research publications. Her core areas of interest and expertise include Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Autonomous Mobile Robots, Robot Machine Vision, Mechatronics, and 3D Additive Manufacturing.
