Under the visionary guidance of Dr. Vichitra Sivaji, Head of the Department of English, the College spearheaded an unyielding quest to provide unparalleled proficiency in English. Through meticulously crafted training sessions and captivating events, the minds of our young learners were ignited, empowering them to embrace this golden opportunity and embark on a mission to attain unrivaled competence in the language. The collaborative efforts of the 'Reading Movement@SREC' and the 'English Literary Society ushered in a new era of transformative education dedicated to elevating the English language skills of first-year B.E/B.Tech/ M.Tech CSE students.

These skills are of the utmost essence in today's dynamic business, political, and diplomatic landscape. Hence two comprehensive hands-on training sessions titled "English Proficiency for Professional Growth: Purpose, Plan, and Practice" for Advanced English students and "Honing Writing Skills for Academic Excellence: Process & Practice" for Technical Writing students were conducted, which placed utmost emphasis on honing the four crucial language skills.

Our training endeavors would be incomplete without the invaluable presence of Dr. K. Abarna Sripreethi and Dr. Jehoson Jiresh, esteemed mentors who expertly employed interactive, enthusiastic, and resourceful means to engage the students completely. Their profound insights and guidance have enriched students' learning journey, instilling them with a wealth of knowledge enhanced by captivating facts and the inherent elegance of the English language. Furthermore, students actively interacted with the mentors, embracing a "white belt mentality," recognizing and rectifying their errors to attain fluency and master the language.



These sessions have undeniably fuelled students’ passion, creating an environment that fosters fluency, enriches vocabulary, and sparks an unwavering interest in the learners.
