Breaking Boundaries | The Unforgettable ASIMOV'24 Journey | Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College
On the illustrious day of February 15, 2024, the grandiose halls of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College became the epicenter of a technological revolution as the first edition of ASIMOV'24 unfolded its majestic wings. This annual extravaganza, orchestrated by the Department of Robotics and Automation, transcended mere boundaries to unite 500 visionary students from across states in a symphony of innovation and collaboration.
ASIMOV'24 served as a dynamic platform for showcasing technological prowess and fostering collaboration among budding engineers and innovators. Wipro Pari sponsored a cash prize in the amount of Rs. 2.5 lakhs for the event ASIMOV'24, celebrating innovation and collaboration. The event was inaugurated by esteemed Chief Guests Mr. Anil Deshinge, Head – of Controls software, Wipro Pari, Pune, and Ms. Chaitanya Shinde, Leader HR, Wipro Pari, under the patronage of Principal Dr. N. R. Alamelu and Dr. A. Murugarajan, Head of the Department of Robotics and Automation, witnessed remarkable participation and enthusiasm.
Highlights included around 150 teams participating in both senior and junior categories, with school students competing in the junior category and polytechnic and college students in the senior category, presenting innovative projects at the Project Expo. Additionally, around 100 teams of seniors and juniors engaged in the Line Follower challenge. The competitive spirit soared as 30 teams battled it out in Robo Soccer, around 25 teams raced in Robo Race, and 51 teams put their knowledge to the test in Robo Quiz. Moreover, 20 teams showcased their piloting skills in the Drone Race.
The valedictory session of ASIMOV'24 was graced by the presence of Mr. Ramesh Muthuramalingam, Managing Director of Alphacraft Pvt Ltd, as the esteemed Chief Guest. His insightful remarks added a poignant conclusion to the event, reflecting on the significance of innovation and the role of technology in shaping our future.
ASIMOV'24 not only celebrated the achievements of today's innovators but also inspired the next generation of engineers and technologists. The students actively engaged in the event, immersing themselves in dynamic activities that sparked curiosity and encouraged active participation in their learning journey.
