Alumni Across Borders: Connecting Globally For Greater Impact
We often hear passed-out university students narrate how their seniors helped them in elevating their careers to such heights; amidst such stories narrated by disparate students, we also often hear the involvement of alumni. Years of education in varying academic and non-academic fields mould the students as they form a strong bond with the institution. The role of alumni is one of the key factors that project the institution to high standards and earns them prestige. There exists a great understanding between the institution and the alumni as they are a pair of like-minded individuals all aiming for the growth and prosperity of the institution. Our esteemed institution, for this sole reason, has placed great importance on the alumni by bringing them together to reconnect, reflect, and celebrate their achievements. SREC has once again opened up its 3rd overseas chapter in Singapore. To bridge and conspire with its alumni in Singapore, the Alumni Association of SREC inaugurated this chapter on 11th March 2023.
The auspicious event took place at the Clarke Quay. The event was inaugurated and felicitated by esteemed D. Lakshminarayanaswamy, Managing Trustee, SNR Sons Charitable Trust. SREC has come a long way due to the longevity and determination of our eminent principal, DR N.R.Alamelu, whose presence and part in the event highlighted the development of the institution along with the integral roles played by the Alumni Association. The Singapore chapter of the Alumni Association held an unforgettable ceremony to install their new office bearers. Leading the charge is Ms. Padmashree, a distinguished member of the 2006 batch, who has taken the helm as President. With the support of alumni from various batches, this new team is poised to take the association to new heights. Senior faculty members were also present for the inauguration ceremony, without whom, the alumni would not have been guided, mentored, and supported.
SREC boasts 15000+ alumni globally and continues to nurture its students to achieve such heights. Faculties continue to pour in their unwavering commitment to education towards the betterment of their students so that their impact is felt long after graduation day.
With chapters already established internationally in both the US and Europe and domestically in Chennai and Bengaluru, it's not hard to see the surge in global support.
