The plenary session took off with a spell-binding address given by our Principal, Dr. N.R. Alamelu, welcoming the esteemed guest Mr. Dan Vnuk, President and GM of GuidingCare-HealthEdge, US, Mr. Amitesh Tyagi, Senior Vice President of GuidingCare-HealthEdge, India and our alumnus of the 1994-1998 batch, Mr. Satish Lakshmanaswamy, Senior Vice President of GuidingCare-HealthEdge, US. Time ticked by at an incredible pace with placement- pertinent information and relevant job market scenarios stacked upon the eager brains. A Q&A session ensued with the students putting forth questions with fervour to learn about the prevailing industry standards and adapting to the work environment at MNCs of repute. Mr. Vnuk, matched the enthusiasm of the students with answers that painted a very clear picture of industry expectations.
The GuidingCare-HealthEdge team later paid a visit to the department of Biomedical Engineering, where they were enthralled by the assortment of innovative projects on exhibit that second and third year students had accomplished. The "AI Based Medical Prescription" project was one of the remarkable ones. The extremely impressed team assured that GuidingCare-HealthEdge will assuredly generate internship opportunities and provide project guidance.
