The planning and execution of the event were meticulous once the date was finalized. The EEETA members laid the groundwork and spearheaded by delegating certain tasks to different groups of individuals. Every single student put their heart and soul into the endeavour and worked day and night to ensure a well-orchestrated event execution.
On the day of the symposium, an impressive display of ingenious working models, eye-catching handcrafts, and striking posters was kept for display.
The inaugural ceremony was hosted at Library Seminar Hall, where the distinguished Chief Guest of the day, Dr. M.Ramkumar and the Guests of Honour, Mr. M.Saravanan and Ms. V.S.Shandhiya, proud alumni of our esteemed institution, graced the occasion with their presence. They reminisced about their days spent at SREC, provided valuable insights and career guidance to the current students, and released the magazines 'FOCUS', 'FACTS', and SOUVENIR. The inaugural ceremony drew to a close with the distribution of gifts as a token of gratitude to both teaching and non-teaching staffs.
This was followed by the unveiling of the mascot flag. As students cheered and screamed with pride, the vibrant mascot flag for REWOP'23 was unfurled symbolizing the spirit and passion of the department. The technical and non-technical contests planned for the day began just on time. Rhetoric, Exposition and Potter's brains fell under the technical side of competitions whereas Synapse, Bolt-Building, and Balloon Pyramid were the non-technical games conducted. The events witnessed robust participation from students representing different colleges. The top performers emerged victorious and bagged the cash prizes in the end.
In conclusion, REWOP'23 was a resounding success and stood as a testament to the power of collaboration, innovation, and hard work.
